Product Reviews for Moms
I know it’s a little early to be talking about Christmas, Chanukah, and snow, but I am already getting my holiday card list together. My husband and I live in Minnesota with our children, but our extended family lives in Florida, California, Michigan, Missouri… take a breath … list about 20 other places. We are spread out all over the place. Since we’ve been together, we’ve made a tradition of sending personalized Christmas cards each year. Cards featuring pictures of our family and the kids bring our families closer. Recipients can see how much the kids have changed, who has gotten a new haircut and which of our four kids have finally outgrown me.
When I say Mixbook’s cards are customized, I mean that you creative types can start with a blank card and build it completely from scratch. However, if (like me) you don’t have time for that or are not artistically inclined, you can use any one of Mixbook’s 100′s of layouts (and further customize them). You can even customize the BACK of the card. I finally settled on a design and began uploading my pictures to Mixbook. Building my own personalized holiday card was effortless. I chose the “Christmas Lights” 5×7 flat card. Choosing the photos came next. I uploaded my photos from my computer, but you can also choose to access your Facebook, Flickr.com and other online albums. The uploader was relatively fast.
After uploading the photos, it was just a matter of dragging and dropping the pictures where I wanted them on the front AND the back of the card. I found that I could alter any of the graphics on the card with just a click. I could change the colors, I could change the embellishments, the font – and it was so intuitive that even my 10 year old daughter could have done it. In fact, if you are lost for ideas and inspiration, Mixbook allows you to invite contributors from your friends to give you some suggestions. After you finish, you can share your finished project with others and determine who can (and cannot) see it. I chose to make mine public for the purpose of this review and you can see my finished Mixbook Holiday Card here.

They came in the mail quickly and I was impressed with the true colors and high quality paper. Mixbook didn’t skimp on quality materials for their beautiful holiday cards. Be sure to check Mixbook out on Facebook and Twitter, as well.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

I am a WAHM of four kids. A Florida transplant to Minnesota (yes, I did that backwards), I enjoy time with my family. I love to try new products and sharing my opinion of them. We are all gamers in our family and love computers, Xbox and all things electronic.
