Clairol’s Try It On Studio Review and Tutorial

Clairol logoPros: Clairol’s program is easy to use and personalized – you don’t get any more personal than your own photo
Cons: The dots on the hair tracing were a bit difficult to master; Hair style didn’t look realistic

Clairol’s Try It On Studio is so easy to use that I would never think of coloring my hair without first using it. I was able to easily upload my photo and see what colors would look like, taking into account my dark hair. They give you expert recommendations on which color and type of Clairol hair color to get your desired results. Tip – I definitely don’t want blonde!
While using it to determine what color options would look good on myself was a big plus, I didn’t like the part of the program dealing with hair styles. The graphics looked kind of silly and unrealistic. Clairol’s Try It On Studio hair style graphics did not look like real hair at all. The Clairol graphics looked like I was wearing a cheap, animation wig. While I loved the portion that let me try on different hair-colors on my own, real hair, I wasn’t so impressed with the portion that lets you try on different hair styles. Clairol needs to work on that part.
